Are you currently working with or thinking about moving into an international market? There are so many considerations – cultural and language differences, managing time zones, and even learning how different cultures use social media! But for the opportunity to expand your market, it’s worth exploring!

In this webinar, we’ll explore both the cultural considerations related to social media use and technical tips for surviving an expansion into a new country. Magdalena Schürmann, SMS, owner of ArbeitsLeben (WorkLife) lives and works in Germany and has lived, studied, and worked in Germany and the United States, allowing her to bring a unique perspective to how social media is used around the world. Amy Jauman, SMS, Chief Learning Officer of the National Institute for Social Media, lives and works in the United States, but has studied and worked in Ukraine, Bahrain, and England. Before working for NISM, she was a remote work consultant. Lena and Amy will be sharing what they have learned over the years about working in different countries, with different cultures, and in the field of social media.

Some of the topics covered will include:

  • Perception of social media in various countries

  • Cultural differences to be aware of, particularly related to setting goals and giving direction
